Responsibilities

The APAC Fixed Income desk is looking to hire an analyst to work with a small group of Sales and Traders covering Credit and US Treasuries. A promising candidate can expect to progress to a junior Sales or Trader role eventually, depending on the suitability and preferences, and the team will provide the mentorship and training required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis in support of constructing trade recommendations for clients
  • Maintain and update pricing sheets and runs
  • Assist the desk in onboarding new counterparties, markets or trading systems
  • Develop new automation ideas and projects to support the build out of the global Fixed Income platform regionally
  • Provide timely updates of market color, financial/economic data releases and developments
  • Communicate with operations to monitor and resolve trade discrepancies and failed trades
  • Work with risk departments across regions to keep track on clients' risk limits and provide timely updates to the desk if any changes or upon request


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the areas of Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics or Accountancy. Graduates in other disciplines with a demonstrable interest in Finance are welcomed to apply.
  • Practical Excel capabilities, proficiency in Python programming will be viewed upon favorably.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with other teams and departments.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Disciplined, meticulous and efficient and able to work well under pressure and handling several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Self-driven problem-solver, analytical and proactive in learning and improving processes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U K for any employer
  • Available for a 10-week program
