Responsibilities:
- Book-keeping of securities investments
- Book-keeping for product financing services and reconciliation with corresponding bank accounts
- Timely update of the fixed deposit register/schedule and management of fixed deposit bookkeeping (including placements, renewals, withdrawals) along with monthly accrued interest
- Book-keeping of bank loans and loans to related regional entities, including maintaining loan schedules, computation of accrued interest
- Update daily regulatory ratio calculation file
- Handle staff claims
- Update weekly cash balances, including in-house securities investments
- Review daily receipt of various fees collected
- Maintain a full set of accounts for small entities
- Assist with testing and implementation of new financial systems/modules
- Perform yearly document archiving
- Handle ad-hoc financial matters as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Mininum of 3 years working experience in the finance sector
- Proficient in bookkeeping for investments in Bonds, Unit Trusts, Stocks, ETFs, and other securities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across various departments and regional entities within the Group
- Experience in independently preparing financial statements and participating in accounting system migration projects is preferred
- Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
