Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain multiple database systems, including MariaDB, PostgreSQL, EDB, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Monitor daily backups and ensure robust recovery solutions are in place.
- Optimize database performance, ensure high availability, and resolve incidents and issues.
- Collaborate with the Major Incident Management (MIM) team to address critical issues efficiently.
- Perform regular patching and upgrades in production environments.
- Work closely with users and vendors to diagnose and resolve database-related challenges.
- Identify and implement automation and process improvements to enhance database operations.
- Apply industry best practices to improve system reliability and overall performance.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Practical experience with at least two database systems (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL/EDB, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MongoDB, Redis).
- Strong expertise in backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
