Job Description
As part of the central pre-development for artificial intelligence (AI), we are responsible for developing innovative technologies to enable the use of AI for our products. You will strengthen our team of AI specialists researching and developing AI for automotive use cases.
Topic: Motion planning and control of autonomous systems under uncertainty.
Short description:
Automobile traffic is characterized by the complex interaction of heterogeneous autonomous dynamic agents with each other and their complex, dynamic environment. Safe and comfortable driving behavior of autonomous vehicles requires anticipatory planning, i.e., planning to consider the possible and probable future behavior of other road users. Anticipatory planning thus necessarily means planning under uncertainty. This work aims to develop and evaluate AI and/or model-based planning algorithms that ensure safe and comfortable driving behavior under uncertain traffic situations evolution.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research and apply state-of-the-art motion prediction and planning techniques.
- Develop and implement novel motion planning algorithms for autonomous systems to handle uncertainty in interactions with road users.
- Build hybrid architectures that optimally combine learning-based and model-based methods.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, control engineering, robotics or related fields of study
- Very good knowledge of artificial intelligence and control algorithms
- Good knowledge of autonomous systems
- Experience with Python
- Independence and initiative
- Ability to work in a team.
