Job Summary:
The Educational Course Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling our educational courses to individuals and businesses. The role will require the individual to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of the education industry. The Educational Course Consultant will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that clients are satisfied with our courses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Business Management related.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse learners.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to actively listen, ask insightful questions, and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and other relevant educational technology tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Proven problem-solving skills: Capacity to analyze complex situations, identify gaps, and develop effective solutions, drawing on a fact-finding approach when necessary.
- Deep understanding of CIC's educational offerings: Knowledge of courses, programs, and resources to provide tailored recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Personalized Learner Guidance:
- Conduct in-depth intake interviews with prospective students to understand their academic backgrounds, career aspirations, and individual learning preferences.
- Develop and implement tailored learning pathways, recommending specific courses, programs, and resources that align with each student's unique needs and goals.
- Proactively monitor student progress, providing ongoing support, and adjusting learning plans as needed to ensure academic success.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted student recruitment strategies, contributing to the growth and diversity of the student body.
- Actively seek feedback from students and stakeholders, using insights to refine advising practices and enhance the overall student experience.
Proactive Student Advocacy:
- Serve as a dedicated point of contact for students, offering timely and empathetic support to address academic, personal, or administrative challenges.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to resolve student issues, ensuring a smooth and positive learning experience.
- Advocate for student needs and interests, providing feedback to CIC leadership to inform program development and improvement.
Cultivate a Supportive Learning Community:
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and networking events to foster a sense of community and collaboration among learners.
- Create opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and mentorship, encouraging students to support and learn from one another.
- Promote a growth mindset and lifelong learning, inspiring students to embrace challenges and pursue continuous personal and professional development.
Data-Informed Decision Making:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, tracking academic progress, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Analyze student data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for targeted interventions.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform advising strategies, program development, and resource allocation.
- Continuously update knowledge of educational trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in student advising.
