Quantity Surveyor [Workplace Fitout / Lavender / Cost Estimation] - 1222

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
• Conduct cost analysis to ensure profitability and suggest value-engineering solutions where necessary.
• Review and approve project invoices, and expenses in collaboration with the finance team.
• Track and report on project profitability, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, supplier agreements, and subcontractor terms.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and resolve disputes efficiently.
• Maintain a database of contracts, monitoring timelines, renewals, and expirations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to align commercial objectives with project goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
• Assess risks associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
• Generate regular reports on project financials, performance metrics, and commercial risks.
• Provide insights to senior management to guide strategic decisions.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a commercial or project management role, preferably in office design, construction, or related industries.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of contract law and commercial practices.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with a client-focused approach.
