- Conduct a network infrastructure analysis.
- Conduct threat assessment matrix on network.
- Configure Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting (AAA) services to support remote access protocols based on security requirements.
- Configure a network addressing system.
- Configure hosts and workstations to use IP addresses either manually or through automatic allocation of addresses.
- Configure network devices to provide secure failover and redundancy.
- Debug networking issues to maintain wireless connection.
- Escalate network performance issues to relevant personnel.
- Evaluate user requirements and recommend network protocol services.
- Identify the network components that are required to be installed.
- Install and configure access point to provide wireless access to network.
- Install and configure the components.
- Install firewall appliance for attack guards and intrusion detection.
- Monitor wireless network performance using diagnostic tools.
- Operate network monitoring tools to monitor network performance against thresholds and Quality of Service (QoS).
- Plan control methods for the network for user access management.
- Review network traffic problems with relevant parties for resolution.
- Test the overall network to verify that it meets the agreed requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or University Degree holder
- Cisco Certificate
- Knowledge in routing, switching, SD-WAN, and vendor technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.)
- Knowledge of Server Architecture such as SANs, Citrix, AD;
- Knowledge in Microsoft server applications, Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service
- Any relevant professional qualifications are considered an advantage
