Class Support cum Bus Attendant
A) Class Support
Purpose
To provide support to Teacher and Teacher Aide
Job Description
• To assist and support Teacher/Teacher Aides in community-referenced outing trips or in class relief.
• To assist and support Teacher/Teacher Aides in ensuring classroom orderliness in areas of physical structure and setting up of work stations during class.
• To assist students in areas of self-care, grooming and toileting, whenever the need arises.
• To assist and support Teacher in collecting direct data on behaviour and progress monitoring of students.
• To collaborate and support Teacher/Teacher Aides in classroom management and implementation of behaviour intervention plan.
• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
B) Bus Attendant
Purpose
To provide support to SAAS students onboard school bus, to and from school (AM session)
Job Description
• To receive students when the school bus arrives at pick-up points. To check their well-being (physical and emotional) before they board the bus to ensure students are safe and ready for bus transport.
• To monitor and support students while they are onboard bus to make sure they are safe and appropriately behave during bus journey, using person-centric and ASD-informed strategies.
• To safely handover students to their caregivers when bus reaches their drop-off destinations.
• To give feedback to caregivers, bus company or class teachers, whenever there are safety/ behavioural concerns presented by the students in the bus.
• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Working Days/Hours
Mon – Fri; 8.30am – 6pm
Job Requirement
• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level
• Experience in dealing with children and youths with autism will be an advantage
