System Engineer (Embedded Software)

Our client is a global MNC in manufacturing equipment and systems for surveying and geographic measurement (geomatics). They focuses on utilizing a wide range of technologies to allow their clients to achieve exceptional accuracy.

The System Engineer (Embedded Software) play a crucial role in developing various firmware components and integrating them with a Linux-based host, with a primary focus on controlling highly dynamic and precise motor and angle subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software for both existing and new drive solutions, including PMSM, DC, and stepper motors.
  • Create real-time firmware for motor and angle subsystems, ensuring high levels of precision and dynamic control.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams to fully understand project requirements and work together on solutions.
  • Develop solutions for the Linux kernel and user space to integrate MCU-based peripherals into advanced surveying and reality capture instruments.
  • Design and conduct environmental tests to verify the performance and reliability of high-end products.
  • Support and design production processes related to calibration, validation, and configuration.
  • Continuously enhance and update knowledge to actively contribute to a cross-functional drive and angle team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Mechatronic
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with strong understanding of Zephyr OS and MCU integration
  • Knowledge and experience in development of embedded software (C, C++, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Experience in developing Python coding and working in Linus-based environment
  • Ability to measure signals and read electronic schematics
  • Strong team player and independent
