(A) Job Summary:
The Architectural Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural projects. This role ensures seamless communication between stakeholders, maintains project documentation, and supports architects in delivering high-quality design and construction outcomes.
(B) Essential Job Functions:
The Architectural Project Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
1. Project Coordination & Support:
- Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project progress and report any delays or issues to the project manager.
2. Design & Documentation Management:
- Organize and maintain architectural drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Ensure project documentation is up to date and compliant with building codes and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing design presentations, tender documents, and regulatory submissions.
3. Communication & Liaison:
- Act as a point of contact between different teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
- Attend project meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Coordinate the submission and approval of permits and regulatory documents.
4. Quality & Compliance Monitoring:
- Assist in ensuring that architectural designs meet safety, zoning, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with the approved design.
- Identify and report any design or construction discrepancies for resolution.
5. Procurement & Resource Coordination:
- Assist in managing material samples, specifications, and procurement processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of architectural materials.
- Support cost estimation and budget tracking for architectural elements.
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by manager.
(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience after tertiary education in relevant architectural field in the construction supervision of architectural works for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of work.
- Experience in handling construction projects is an advantage.
