IT Support Engineer (Education Industry)
Our client a private tertiary institution. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an IT Support Engineer to be part of their IT Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the Central - easily accessible.
Duties of IT Support Engineer:
- IT Support & Maintenance – Manage and troubleshoot hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software issues.
- System Installation & Upgrades – Assist in the selection, setup, configuration, and testing of IT hardware and software.
- Network & System Management – Maintain IT infrastructure, perform backups, and monitor system performance.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – Diagnose and resolve network, application, and hardware-related problems.
- Security & Compliance – Ensure software licensing, IT asset management, and policy compliance.
- Data Management – Oversee data migration, system upgrades, and IT inventory documentation.
- User Support & Training – Provide end-user assistance and collaborate with application & infrastructure teams.
- Problem Management – Analyze recurring IT issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Project Involvement – Participate in system setups, upgrades, and IT improvement initiatives.
- Ad-Hoc Duties – Support additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in related field
- Relevant experience
