IT Security Consultant

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced IT Security Lead to oversee the end-to-end implementation of security projects for our clients. This role involves system design, deployment, configuration, and integration of security solutions to protect client systems and data. The IT Security Lead will manage client-facing security projects and provide strategic direction for security initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the client's security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of security projects, including system design, deployment, configuration, and integration of security solutions for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and design tailored solutions to address their requirements.
• Oversee the deployment and integration of security technologies, ensuring they are effectively implemented and meet the security standards.
• Manage client-facing security projects from inception to completion, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Provide leadership to the security project team, offering guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure project success.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits to identify security gaps and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver integrated security solutions.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices, and ensure that solutions are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and security policies.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients post-implementation, ensuring that security systems are maintained and optimized.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT security, with a strong background in implementing and managing security solutions for clients.
• Proven experience in leading security projects from inception to delivery, including system design, deployment, and integration.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, endpoint security, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security audits.
• Strong understanding of compliance standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, project management, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple security projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify security issues and implement effective solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
• Experience with cloud security and security solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT.
