Project Planning Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As Regional Planner, you will have responsibility for assigned Planning, Scheduling and related Project Controls matters for our Data-Centre Construction Projects in North and South Asia to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, timely and responsible manner to a world-class standard. The successful candidate shall be expected to assist both internal and external stakeholders in any way possible to ensure projects are completed to the required timescales, within their stated budgets and are being properly reported. He/she will be expected to identify and address Programme challenges and opportunities by working collaboratively with multiple cross-border teams. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for project planning large data-centre developments.
• Assist in the preparation and management of regional overview and strategic programme project planning and reporting.
• Develop project engineering, construction and procurement schedules together with associated information required schedules.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of standardised schedule-related project reporting procedures and deliverables, including dashboards, in accordance with company's IPC Framework.
• Prepare and present periodic schedule and project controls related reports for management / executive approval.
• Peer-review and provide subject-matter expertise on vendor provided projects schedules and related documents to ensure compliance with project objectives.
• Review schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management. Monitor actual progress against planned progress.
• Provide proactive subject-matter expert expertise to company's vendors re project scheduling, manning and material flow and suggest possible courses of corrective action.
• Working closely with the Regional Project Teams to ensure that Master and Contract programmes are feasible, comply with contractual documents, deliverables and deadlines.
• Interface with all members of the TPOE to achieve project deliverables. Interface with the main contractor, sub contractors, vendors and internal management on planning and scheduling related activities.
• Attend off-site meetings on as-required / ad-hoc basis in support of planning and scheduling matters.
• Review schedules for slippage of key dates, deliverables and deadline, and champion mitigation scheduling as required.
• Assist in the defence / approval of any claim for time extension or major change to the project schedule.
• Assist in Project Risk and Opportunities Management, including schedule risk identification and mitigation.
• Any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Planner or relevant Project Controls Field.
• Relevant professional body accreditations are preferred
• Strong knowledge and experience with Engineering and Construction, preferably from a Data Centre projects background
• Familiar with Primavera (P6) and MS Project is essential
• Proficient in MS Office suite of programs
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills
• Ability to travel overseas up to 25% of the time.
