ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

At Breakfast at Fluffy's, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional, cage-free care for our canine guests. We are seeking an Operations Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of our hotel and the well-being of our guests.

This role involves operation & facility maintenance, front desk guest services, reservations, billing, pet care & handling, team collaboration, and logistics support.

Operation & Facility Maintenance

  1. Handle day-to-day operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly.
  2. Comply with AVS's pet boarding license guidelines to ensure the pet hotel is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  3. Handle inventory stocktaking and reordering of all supplies and cleaning products to minimize waste or shortages.
  4. Handle daily laundry, and cleaning/washing of staff room, dog pantry, shower room, human restroom, dog food storeroom, corridors, and backyards.
  5. Ensure cleanliness of food preparation area and cages, and trash removal at end of day.
  6. Assist Manager in coordinating housekeeping schedules and staff attendance.
  7. Be responsible for all repair works as and when needed.

Front Desk & Guest Services

  1. Greet and check in customers' pets in a professional and friendly manner.
  2. Take reservations, handle inquiries, and provide pricing information.
  3. Take payments and perform daily POS system closing.
  4. Address guest concerns and handle last-minute requests and incidents.

Pet Care & Handling

  1. Ensure that pets are comfortable and safe at all times.
  2. Check medications or special dietary requirements.
  3. Assist in daily pet care routines, including feeding, cooking, dog walking, dog showers, area cleaning, cage sanitization, and wound cleaning.

Team Collaboration & Logistics Support

  1. Assist the manager and pet care specialist team in any matters needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  2. Provide logistics support for any events, pet enrichment activities, and delivery services for guests.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge in hospitality, pet care, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of pet nutrition, healthcare, and pet medication.
  • Knowledge of data entry, petty cash, and bookkeeping.
  • Ability to remain alert and responsive during nighttime hours.
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Must work on key holidays like Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Chinese New Year.
