This position focuses on developing energy harvesting methods for self-powered IoT systems used in structural health monitoring for civil engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative energy harvesting techniques for self-powered IoT systems.
- Explore and optimize materials and methods for efficient energy conversion.
- Develop and integrate energy harvesting solutions into IoT-based structural health monitoring systems.
- Work on low-power electronics and energy storage solutions for continuous operation.
- Design and conduct laboratory and field tests to evaluate system performance.
- Analyze data and optimize energy efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with researchers, engineers, and industry partners on project development.
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations for stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong research background in energy harvesting, IoT systems, or structural health monitoring.
- Experience with self-powered sensor networks or low-power electronics is a plus.
- Proficiency in experimental design, prototyping, and system integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within teams.
- A publication record and proficiency in English are advantageous - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
