Head of Strategic Events & Community Partnerships, Asia – Tech & Innovation Community

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive our growth in Asia by expanding our network, curating high-impact events, and forging strategic partnerships. Based in Singapore, this role offers the opportunity to shape our regional strategy, build a strong local presence, and engage with top entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in events, partnerships, and community building within the tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Ecosystem Building

  • Cultivate relationships with top founders, investors, corporate executives, government representatives, and media across Asia, with a focus on Singapore.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry leaders, and corporate stakeholders to strengthen our regional presence.
  • Support and curate invite-only events that bring together influential figures from the startup and investment ecosystem.
  • Represent the company by hosting networking events, roundtable discussions, and private gatherings to expand brand awareness in Asia.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring strong representation within the regional tech community.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Oversee agenda and content development for events in the Asia region, ensuring alignment with industry trends and key market insights.
  • Collaborate with the content team to shape themes, panels, and speaker line-ups that reflect innovation and emerging challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for digital content expansion to extend our reach beyond physical events.

Partnership & Business Development

  • Identify and develop business opportunities by engaging with corporate CEOs, venture capitalists, and government bodies.
  • Work closely with the partnerships team to secure sponsorships for events in Asia.
  • Strengthen and manage strategic government partnerships at a regional level.
  • Drive government grant applications and media collaborations to support initiatives.

Event Strategy & Execution

  • Oversee the successful execution of high-quality event programs, ranging from exclusive 15-person gatherings to large-scale industry forums.
  • Work closely with the operations team to coordinate logistics, venues, and supplier management.
  • Ensure events maintain high standards of inclusivity, diversity, and industry engagement.

Strategic Expansion & Innovation

  • Explore new event formats, regional partnerships, and digital initiatives to grow the organization’s impact in Asia.
  • Develop initiatives such as community dinners, industry-specific events, regional roadshows, and cross-border collaborations.
  • Support the expansion of sub-businesses and explore potential new markets within Asia.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee and support the regional partnerships and programs team.

Success Metrics (First 6 Months)

  • Secured world-class speakers for key events.
  • Developed a clear strategy for expansion in Asia with measurable goals.
  • Built a strong pipeline of sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in events, partnerships, or community-building within the startup or tech ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and passionate about innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content, community engagement, or business development within the startup ecosystem.
  • Right to work in Singapore.
  • Deep understanding of the Asian tech landscape.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and globally as needed.
