- A safety officer establishes and upholds a secure work environment for all employees.
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and developing comprehensive safety policies, procedures.

- Lead the WSH Committee in developing, implementing, and enhancing WSH programs at construction site.
- Organize WSH Committee meetings and facilitate as recording secretary. Responsible for safety reports, including safety indices.
- Plan, co-ordinate and oversee activities related to workmen’s safety, emergency response, first-aid and WSH risk assessment and management.
- Investigate, analyse, report, and recommend preventive and remedial measures in the event of incidents or infringements.
- Prepare, organize, and implement safe work procedures and measures in accordance with MOM regulations.
- Prepare and conduct routine inspections for compliance to WSH regulations.
- Ensure that risk assessments for all work activities are conducted and to propose review of procedures, where necessary.
- Supervise all workers to maintain safety standards and follow approved operating procedures, in accordance with WSHA requirement.
- Check and audit all appliances, equipment, and machineries regularly to ensure that they are in good working condition.
- Attend to all safety and environmental feedback and observations reported.
- Conduct safety training and inductions for all staff & sub-contractors.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in building & construction industry.
- Experienced in monitoring activities related to lifting and erection of steel structures and workshops.
- Additional Certification such as Lifting Supervisor will be advantageous.
- Good proficiency in MS Office.
- MOM certified and registered WSHO.
