Company Overview

The Harley Street Heart & Vascular Centre (HSHVC) is a leading heart and vascular specialist group practice in Singapore. HSHVC’s clinics are currently based within three high-end private hospitals in Singapore (Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital) and has one outpatient center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The group consists of four cardiologists and one vascular surgeon and has plans to increase the number of specialists and clinic locations within Singapore and the region over the next few years.

HSHVC is part of the HMI group (hmimedical.com) and works closely with the HMI senior management and operations team to grow within Singapore and the region and improve efficiency. Given its vision and growth trajectory, HSHVC is seeking to invite a General Manager onto its management team; one who is highly motivated, independent and with the competencies to actualize the mission of the group through financial and non-financial milestone success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the group, including management and oversight of operations, human resources, accounting, and marketing functions.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals within the group to ensure high standards of patient care and operational excellence.
  • Execute operational plans that align with strategic initiatives, including business growth, marketing strategies, and team performance management.
  • Drive the standardization and integration of services across all clinics within the group to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Contribute to profitability by optimizing operational processes and supporting revenue generation efforts.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine marketing strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in onboarding new medical specialists and partners to enhance the group’s service offerings.
  • Work with the senior leadership team to align operational strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Support regional partnerships and explore opportunities to grow the group’s presence in Southeast Asia.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MSc in Applied Finance) is a bonus but not required.
  • Proven experience at a managerial level in a healthcare services or similar context.
  • More than 8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in a healthcare organization is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with driving business improvement initiatives, such as:
  • a. Supporting corporate growth strategies and business development activities.
  • b. Assisting with corporate processes like M&A or business integrations; and
  • c. Enhancing internal capabilities (e.g., HR, finance, operations, and marketing).
  • Strong integrity, resourcefulness, and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
