Job Scope
As an Events & Sales Manager, your role is to plan, manage and execute our portfolio of events and activation projects. You will work closely with the Project Director for budget & proposal generation with regard to the company’s various portfolios of clients. The primary functions are listed below:
Duties and Responsibilities
The Events & Sales Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Project Management & Execution:
- Collaborate and connect with internal and external stakeholders (such as vendors, freelancers and other agencies)
- Communicate effectively with clients and team-members
- Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts
- Planning and executing of event project deliverables
- Coordinate programs, venues, suppliers and staffing for event requirements
- Documentation of project details & results via Event Reports
- Define the scope of project (ie: when the company receives a project brief)
- Project Budgeting - Determine the resources (time, cost, equipment/s, etc.) required to complete the project
- Develop a timeline/schedule for project completion
- Review the project timeline/schedule with management
- Prepare presentation decks for clients/suppliers
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at required level of quality
- Achieve the company’s service and client objectives
Qualifications & Requirements
Although this area of work is open to all graduates and those with diplomas, the following fields would be better related:
- Event Management
- Hotel & Hospitality Management
- Leisure & Tourism
- Business Management
- Marketing
- Supply Chain Management
Skills you will need to have:
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Project Management ability
- Time-management skills
- Negotiation skills and logical thinking ability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Problem Solving Skills (individually or in a team)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage budgets
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Being abreast of the latest event tools and trends; be open to new ideas to drive innovation
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in Events, Entertainment & lifestyle industries
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to travel (if needed)
- Work on weekends if project requires (*off-in-lieu will be reimbursed)
