Responsibilities

Full spectrum of Accounts Payable functions

Reconciliation

  • Handle internal reconciliation and monthly reconciliations of suppliers’ statement of accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal/external in resolving the PO/delivery/invoice discrepancies.

Computation and review of vendor rebates/claims

  • Understanding of rebates structure with different vendors and billing of claims against suppliers.
  • Check accuracy of rebates issued by vendors via credit notes.

Invoices and claims processing

  • Timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Fully in charges of processing and verify invoices for suppliers.
  • Ensure invoices and claims are timely processed and disbursed in accordance with the AP, company policy and procedures.
  • Update payments in daily/monthly cashflow forecast and monitor cash position.
  • Maintaining historical records, prepayments and monthly accruals

Payments

  • Create and maintain suppliers master data. Monitor supplier profiles to ensure completeness and accuracy of information typically payment terms, key contract person, bank account number, and specific payment instructions.
  • Prepare and process payments and staff reimbursement.
  • Communicate to suppliers in terms of payment plan and schedule, statement of accounts, missing invoices and supporting document for the payable processing.

Closing

  • Ensure timely month end closing.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing financial data, collaborate with auditors.
  • Support the finance team members in other accounting functions if necessary.
  • Any ad-hoc finance assignment.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Those who have experience in Sage 300 (Accpac) and letters of credit will have an added advantage.
  • Please note that our company operates in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry and so the successful candidate needs to be able to adapt to a high transactional volume and fast-paced environment.

Working Hours and Office Location

  • This is a full-time permanent position.
  • Flexible working arrangements (work from home 2 weekdays a week. Other 3 weekdays in office).
  • Our office is located in the Serangoon / Ang Mo Kio area.

Salary and Remuneration

  • Monthly Basic Salary of up to SGD3,200 (based on experience).
  • Medical/dental claims. Basic hospitalization insurance cover.
  • Annual fully company-sponsored training programme.
