- Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly financial performance and reporting for the REIT manager and the investment ownership portfolio in Asia.
- Prepare and deliver recurring management reporting - including profits, cashflow forecasting, and other key financial results, incorporating insightful variance analysis.
- Collaborate closely with outsourced Business Partners (BPs) – review journal entries postings, overseeing month end closings and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Review consolidation reporting preparation for financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, relevant disclosures and supporting documentation.
- Prepare all required regulatory filings, including MAS (quarterly) and CMSL (annually) reports for review with General Manager Finance.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and disclosures, provide guidance outsourced BP to ensure compliance with approved accounting standards.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, liaising with outsourced BPs to resolve reconciling items.
- Liaise with auditors and tax consultants as required.
- Partner with Asia business units to develop and prepare comprehensive 5-year budget plans focusing on profit, overheads, cashflow forecasting and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Track and monitor costs against forecasts on a monthly basis and preparing supporting reports and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Support business commercial analysis by preparing and analysing all monthly reports ensuring accurate variance analysis.
- In-depth reviews of the general ledger and sub-ledger postings, identifying significant trends, analysing key fluctuations, and investigating any unusual events.
- Ensure implementation and application of globally consistent policies, procedures, accounting standards, and financial controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, communicate financial insights, and drive alignment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance, preferably with a professional accreditation such as CA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial planning and analysis, ideally in a public accounting or commercial environment.
- Demonstrate sound commercial acumen and an understanding of general and transactional accounting and reporting.
- Strong Excel skills are essential, and familiarity with financial software (Oracle).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. High level of maturity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in real estate industry is highly advantageous.
