JOB PURPOSE

  • The ASEA Head of Finance Performance contributes to building the success of Opella in proposing effective performance measures and setting ambitious financial targets, securing value creation, and supporting the Zone leadership in decision-making in a changing and very dynamic environment, in the context of Opella acquisition by CD&R.
  • ASEA Zone is a 320m€ sales region, underlying growth ~6%, BOI 140M€ (B25), it manages very diverse countries in terms of size, growth profile and type of markets (incl. partnered markets)

KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Be a Business Partner for business leader

  • Support ASEA Business Leaders in their decision-making process based on sound judgment, finance expertise and business acumen,
  • Be a member of the Opella ASEA Leadership Team, and of the AMEA Region Finance Leadership Team
  • Support global and regional business and finance projects
  • Drive cash flow optimization initiatives at local level and management/monitoring of stock in trade
  • Coordinate Opella One Finance collaboration (GBS/ Procurement) on the ASEA region

Focus on Finance Performance

  • Provide to the leadership team accurate, timely and relevant financial data and key metrics, including on cash management
  • Monitor and challenge business performance vs set targets and defined KPIs, gaps vs. plan – supported by the Finance Business Partners, and in coordination with Global Brands Finance
  • Manage risks and opportunities, build mitigation action plans
  • Ensure the IBP consistency to drive growth and manage inventories

Lead budget & rolling forecasts

  • Challenge Business assumptions, identify risks and opportunities and ensure strategic alignment between Commercial Business incl. Global Brands, M&S and Financial Operations

People & Multicultural Management

  • Manages a team of Finance Performance Leads and BA&C based in various Countries across ASEA, creating engagement and a focus-outcome mindset through coaching
  • Develop both individual and team growth/career opportunities as well as succession planning, as well as ensure team and organization readiness for Opella autonomy

Perform and contribute to transversal/ad hoc Finance activities

  • Accountable for the control environment (assessing risks and performing controls) over their local areas of responsibility and fully aware of internal control requirements (“guardian of the rules”), with the capability to raise concerns to Internal Control
  • Actively contributes to the transformation of Opella into an autonomous organization, including Finance organization and Process design
  • Develop & Share Finance best practices and Simplification to limit the workload and enhance the focus on Performance
  • Lead ad hoc projects

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong leadership skills with great ability for multicultural management
  • Degree qualified in a finance and accounting or a related business discipline and / or a professional accounting qualification
  • Display agility skillset to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Collaborative, highly proactive and assertive attitude, commitment to excellence
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to combine and present complex information in a simple manner
  • Experienced manager able to provide structure, purpose, and development to a team of finance professionals
