Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Product Marketing Manager, Distributors will report directly to the General Manager for Distributor Markets, APAC. The candidate will also work closely with the product development team in the US on product assortment in our client’s new distributor markets.
Key responsibilities include:
Consumer centric
- Be involved and embedded in consumer insights and research studies to inform market opportunity with customers and consumers' trend and identify potential category
- Able to translate consumer insights / needs into product feature / designs.
Market Research
- Be able to timely and accurately research, monitor and analyze the dynamics of competitors, and propose corresponding countermeasures.
- Identify market trend to develop agile product portfolio strategy for new business area.
Product Localization and Development
- Own product assortment in Singapore, including configurations, color, features & benefits
- Work closely with Product Development and Program Coordinators at US headquarter to ensure new products are on cost, on time, and with the right features & benefits for the Singapore consumer and market.
- Implement local product strategies in line with global product strategies to strengthen market position. Develop all on-box and in-box collateral within global guidance.
- Product guidance to Sales and Marketing team on product claims, demonstration development, channel choices and pricing, and after service.
Candidate Profile
- Minimally eight (8) years of product experience, especially in product development and implementation (not marcom person).
- Experience in Consumer Electronics. Kitchen appliances experience is preferred.
- BA degree or equivalent
- Skill set to implement new products with focus on the user experience and technical aspects.
- Powerful project management / leadership skills which will enable cross-functional collaboration to develop and deliver robust plans.
- Analytics and financials skills.
- Multi-function capacity and flexibility to deal with ambiguous situations.
- Will work with the Marketing Communications team to ensure all messaging / tone and manner consistency.
- Periodical domestic travel, possibility to visit US head office depending on project.
