  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  5. Click JavaScript.

Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a Research Associate to contribute to a new research project on the impacts of generative artificial intelligence tools on visual effects practitioners in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and summarizing relevant academic and grey literature on topics relating to creative labour, creative industries, and artificial intelligence.

  • Assist in the organization and execution of data collection, e.g. focus group discussions and/or expert interviews.

  • Conduct and interpret qualitative data analyses for academic publications.

  • Contribute to the preparation of manuscript drafts for academic publications.

  • Assist in administrative and project management tasks relevant to this project, including but not limited to correspondence with research participants and disbursement of participant incentives.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a humanities and social science discipline.

  • Experience with qualitative discourse analysis methods and software (e.g. NVivo, Atlas.ti) preferred.

  • Experience with ethnographic methods preferred, including but not limited to: conducting expert interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
