As Singapore's first program in furniture and home furnishing retail, this unique opportunity prepares you to become a well-rounded Category Planner, equipped with international market insights for a successful retail career.

At the end of the program, you will be assigned to a Category Management position with these key responsibilities:

  • Set and manage category revenue targets while analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to drive profitability and enhance category strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to category performance and product success.
  • Oversee the full product development process by collaborating with designers, buyers, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and successful launches.
  • Curate and implement category strategies that incorporate strategic demand planning and supply-side dynamics for optimal performance.
  • Establish and maintain a revenue management approach, ensuring consistent pricing and promotional tactics that foster long-term profitable growth across various markets.
  • Act as a key stakeholder to ensure that sales forecasts align with product launches, marketing campaigns, and other demand drivers.
  • Ensure that reporting and analytics translate into actionable insights, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize our product mix effectively.

To succeed in this program, here are the key requirements you'll need:

  • Fresh Graduates and working professionals with up to 2 years of experience in e-commerce or background in business analysis/data analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, and SQL is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that influence category strategy.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic growth environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proactive, "can-do" mentality with a proven track record of executing strategies successfully.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong vendor relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage due to the need to collaborate with Chinese-speaking teams and third-party vendors/ partners.
  • Willingness to travel when business needs arise (~20%).
