Learning and Development Executive

This job contributes to Starbucks' success by supporting learning and development (L&D) initiatives. Facilitates the training and development of partners to enhance their performance. Provides support in daily training-related registration and administrative and claims processes. In addition, this individual plays a key role in exemplifying and embodying Starbucks guiding principles.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Retail Training
• Models Our Mission and Values and engages our learners through shared vision and compelling stories & learning experiences
• Partnering with cross-functional partners to uncover, understand, and gain support for store learning development solutions
• Supporting in designing and implementing learning strategies, managing training programs, and developing Barista learning skills and knowledge
• Monitor and review the progress of the partners undergoing the training through questionnaires, assessments, and discussions
• Maintains records of training activities, attendance, and results of assessments of the new partners undergoing the training
• Provide a competency report to store managers on the trained partners
• Follow-up with the respective store managers on the progress of the trained partners
• Promptly correct and re-train partners to adhere to SFA guidelines
• Perform monthly learning engagement store visit and action plan follow up for stores in accordance with the assessment criteria
• Performs other related training duties or ad hoc assignments when required
Training Administration
• Manages retail partners training registration, administrative matters, primarily for Retail Partners, Food Hygiene courses and any further training programs or initiatives that align with business requirements
• Prepares for any pre-and post-course-related training materials or logistic arrangements
• Responds to partner inquiries regarding L&D training programs, including monitoring email and close follow-up for any learning solutions
• Supports program completion tracking through data collection and analysis, including collecting course feedback and metrics within a specific program
• Tracks L&D program activity and supports in preparation of reports
• Maintains proper documentation and filing system of training resources
• Supports in administering training-related invoices, claims and training grants
Workday LMS System & D365FO System
• Collaborate with L&D partners to ensure that the database is accurate and that all training records are updated
• Support in managing all the training administration in Workday LMS, such as course/ vendor/ assessor/ schedule creation in the LMS system and
• Support in establishing a new process for any new feature launch in WD LMS
• Support in managing training stocks transfer in D365FO system
• Closely follow up with the respective stakeholders on any training stocks transfer or WD LMS issues raised by the partners
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Displays a growth mindset and is continuously exploring for unique and creative ways to facilitate training
• Knowledgeable in basic instructional design, development of interactive, engaging and impact learning experience
• Good Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Video Editing or Articulate
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Good planning skills to manage time and meet deadlines and objectives
• Good project management and follow-up skills
• Ability to take the initiative and work independently under minimum supervision
• Ability to perform learning duties and skills assessment on weekends, as and when required
• ACTA or ACLP, CF, ACF and/or MCM certification is strongly preferred
