Calling out to those with a Passion to Serve!If you are on the lookout to expand your nursing skills and knowledge within in a Public Service setting, we would like to hear from you.We are looking for driven individuals to be part of HSA's Blood Resources Division- Bloodbank team, where you will oversee the administration of Blood Collection team, develop and manage the operations of the whole blood collection and apheresis programmes, and provide advice and consultation in nursing aspects of Transfusion Medicine, so as to ensure quality and safety of the national blood supply.[What you will be working on]Responsibilities:Ensure an efficient running of blood and apheresis collection programme while maintaining high levels of quality service and customer satisfaction:
- Oversee all professional and operational activities in the whole blood collection and apheresis programmes
- Maintain high levels of quality and safety standards in all blood collection activities and ensure that professional policies and practices are in compliance with blood bank practices
- Oversee implementation of appropriate training, competency and development programmes for nursing and support staff
- Recruitment activities for manning support
- Participate in development and implementation of blood donation policies/practices and good blood donor experience
- Participate in other administrative activities
- Must have a valid registration certificate with Singapore Nursing Board
- Degree in Nursing and Advanced Diploma in Nursing with a relevant clinical component recognised by HSA (Blood Services Group) or other post-registration diploma in Nursing- related programmes
- Worked in a blood service (preferably in blood collection) or other relevant healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse for at least 5 years in Singapore
- Preferably knowledgeable in field of apheresis technology and developments in Transfusion Medicine
- Good knowledge in quality management
- Able to perform varied working shifts in various fixed sites and mobile drives
- Candidates must be outspoken and able to communicate well in English
- Software (MS Office) proficiency
- Familiar with customer service and service quality principles and practice
- Team members will be rostered to support morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week and are not required to perform night shift.
