The teams manages and ensures the smooth operations and delivery of IT projects that serves the Financial Industry as well as MAS users.You will be part of the Central Banking & Devt Platforms division, responsible for managing the systems supporting the monetary and security management systems in MAS. These responsibilities involve supporting the monetary management platform which facilitate the issuance of Singapore Government Securities.As part of the team, you will:Understand and support the linkages between these systems and other market infrastructures such MAS' internal real-time gross settlement systemWork closely with the user department and/or vendor to plan and devise the solution for enhancements to monetary management systems to meet business requirements, enhance system performance and comply with MAS IT security standardsWork closely with internal IT stakeholders and vendor to review and assess the design, support the integration of the solution into the MAS environment and enterprise technology stack, review the source code and verify the implementation of the solutionImplement best practices for scability, supportability, ease of maintenance and system performance for the monetary management platform[What we are looking for]Bachelor Degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience in supporting and/or implementing large software applications in complex technology environments.At least 2 years of experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, integration, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred.Strong proficiency in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.Hands-on experience in designing and developing reusable components, microservices, containers and Kubernetes, and with a wide range of AWS services.Sound knowledge of Java, Containers, shell scripts, various operating systems and databases. Other programming languages will be an advantage.Proven experience in DevOps and CI/CD adoption and deployment.Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutionsExperience installing, configuring, and implementing new applications and system on AWS, preferably on Government on Commercial Cloud (“GCC”) as well.Experience in managing operations, handling of issues, and systems monitoring.Good working knowledge of databases and fault-tolerant infrastructure concepts.Ability to work independently as well as in a teamAbility to work with details and time-sensitive issues.Strong interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate and faciliate project activities and discussions.Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.Ability to conduct technical assessments, respond to timely inquiries, and present written/ oral presentations.Knowledge on OpenShift Container Platform, certifications in relevant skills (e.g., Java, AWS solution architect, Kubernetes, etc.) and understanding of financial instructions (e.g. Singapore Government Securities) will be an advantageThis is a 2-Year Contract position.
