Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Lorry Driver to join our team. The primary role is to transport and deliver grocery items safely and on time. In addition to driving, the candidate must assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling of items such as sugar, cooking oil, onions, potatoes, canned products, and other grocery items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a lorry to transport goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload grocery items from the lorry, ensuring proper handling.
  • Verify and check delivery items against invoices.
  • Ensure goods are delivered in good condition and within the scheduled time.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid class 3 driving license for heavy vehicles.
  • Previous experience in lorry driving and goods handling is an advantage.
  • Physically fit to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of routes and locations is preferred.
