As a national training institution, our mission is to develop mentally and physically rugged youths to be active citizens inspired to serve the community.What you will be working on:You will be part of the Marine & Logistics Operations team at OBS providing integrated operations support in logistics and vessel operations for the smooth running of all OBS programmes across OBS campuses. As Manager (Logistics Operations), specialising in logistics management and systems, you play a key role in the smooth administrative and managerial functions which cover the areas of supply-chain management, sustainability, and excellent deliveries to support OBS courses and programmes. The incumbent plays a key role in driving the Marine & Logistics unit towards a future which is technologically inclined and customer service driven. You will utilise the following tools to enhance your effectiveness: 1) Supply chain analytics (SCA): a. Data driven decision making and outcomes b. Applications of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics c. Inventory network, designing and optimisation concept d. Supply planning and forecasting 2) Cost-benefit analysis and planning, forecasting, setting targets, and measuring outcomes. 3) Data visualisation, optimization solver engine e.g., Tableau data visualization, Gurobi solver or Excel solver and pivot table You will manage: 1) The budgetary and cost-effective expenditures which includes management of outsourced contracts 2) Logistics related projects and services 3) Perform procurement duties and activities (knowledge in GeBIZ is essential) 4) Logistics contractors to ensure they achieve their contractual obligations (required Key Performance Indicators) You will work closely with your fellow managers in overseeing the logistics operations and services are achieved professionally and timely with the following concept: Right Services-Right Time-Right Engagement-Right Provision / Product.What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience and/ or background in logistics, operations management, large-scale supply chain setting, and in managing outsourced operations/vendors. • Educational background in logistics and operations management will be advantageous. • Independent, astute, creative, confident communicator, good writing and presentation skills. • Meticulous, good analytical skills with keen eyes for details and digits. • Active team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. • Knowledge and experience in WSH, ISO (9001, 14001, 45001). • Experience and competency in data analytics, visualisation and tools like Power BI/ Tableau. • Driving Licences will be advantageous. • The job requires work mobility in any and all of OBS' campuses / sites (e.g. Pulau Ubin, East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception, Changi, and OBS@Coney in the future); and beyond official working hours where required or when the need arises.
