Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Expertise Development
  • Conduct in-depth market research to build expertise in strategic target markets, identifying key trends, competitive landscapes, and growth potential
  • Establish and share market insights to guide strategy and decision-making.
  • Opportunity Identification
  • Search for and identify specific acquisition targets aligned with strategic objectives
  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities, ensuring they meet growth, market share, and revenue acceleration criteria
  • Upstream Marketing Responsibilities
  • Partner with APAC R&D teams to drive early-stage product concept development and prioritize innovation based on market insights
  • Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives to gather insights and define unmet needs
  • Develop business cases for new product opportunities in APAC, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and revenue forecasts
  • Identify trends in customer preferences and technology adoption to inform APAC product development strategies
  • Collaboration and Alignment
  • Partner with APAC leadership, local country teams, and global divisions to align BD and APAC upstream marketing initiatives with broader organizational goals
  • Work closely with the APAC MedSurg marketing team to integrate BD and product development opportunities into the regional strategy
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic marketing, business development, or a related role in the MedTech or healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated experience in market research, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessment
  • Proven ability to gather and translate customer insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions or corporate strategy
  • Regional experience in APAC markets
  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
