What the role is:You will formulate, review and implement patient financing and subvention policies within the acute care setting (i.e. public hospitals) to ensure affordability for patients, while maintaining sustainability of our healthcare system. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:Your portfolio involves: • Conducting detailed analyses of patient profiles and needs, healthcare costs, adequacy of subsidy policies, monitoring of fees to evaluate impact of current policies and identify gaps. • Handling complex costing, utilisation, and billing datasets to strengthen policymaking. • Designing and implementing new charging and subsidy policies to support value-based healthcare delivery, and also achieve significant efficiency gains. • Designing and implementing Government subvention policies for public hospitals and national specialty centres • Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage the end-to-end process from developing and reviewing policies, to designing the processes and ensuring smooth implementation of changes through system optimisation, to support the integrity of our financing schemes. • Evaluating funding proposals from public healthcare institutions, to ensure that providers are right funded for service delivery.What we are looking for:Key Competencies Require • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating - Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
