We are looking for an experienced Manager, Communications & Public Affairs to support and navigate the Communications & Public Affairs strategy for our client in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company in the public policy area with key organizations, associations and government/community leaders.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic communication plans that support business objectives.
  • Proactively identify key opportunities to build the business, promote reputation drivers among crucial audiences and identify/mitigate emerging issues using an integrated approach that considers all aspects of communications.
  • Develop key messaging and responses, working closely with the Executive and Guest Communications as well as Public Relations functions.
  • Communicate key messages and strategies to internal and external audience.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with elected officials and industry/community partners.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships and communications with APAC, local and industry business media.
  • Create and implement solutions to work with government and community through knowledge of company resources and priority areas.
  • Partner with senior company leaders to facilitate company engagement in key community, state, and national organizations.
  • Assist in monitoring media and preparing on-going listening reports and elevate relevant information as needed.
  • Support the ongoing implementation of comprehensive emergency preparedness and crisis communications plans.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Public Affairs, Communications, Government Relations)
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with demonstrated success in government relations, public affairs, or corporate communication type role.
  • Good understanding of the local Singapore government and Tourism bodies.
  • Understanding of the SEA Travel industry, cruise industry experience
  • Experience advising and collaborating with cross-functional client teams and stakeholders to design and deliver effective policy strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve complex problems and drive results.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives at the same time and drive them to completion.
