About the jobAbout the Company:Our client is a reputable conglomerate, known for its innovations within the consumer lifestyle space and a leading developer of commercial infrastructures. As the company continues to expand its footprint and chart its vision as a premier player within the consumer lifestyle and retail hospitality arena, they are looking to hire a Group General Manager to lead this transformation agenda.Reporting into the Executive Chairman & CEO, this role will lead the strategic vision of spearheading business development growth and new expansion project initiatives, leading a team of General Managers and the entire commercial organization.In addition, you will lead new organizational transformation growth while providing consultative advisory to ensure long-term sustainable growth for the business, on an Asia and International level.Responsibilities:
  • Advise the Executive Chairman / CEO on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues and make recommendations on major business decisions
  • Keep the Executive Chairman / CEO informed about business activities, opportunities, potential threats and recommended actions.
  • Determine resource allocation among Bus and drive the organization's global business, while building on the strength of the Group, develop strategic partnerships, acquisitions and divestments
  • Spearhead new mergers & acquisition initiatives in bringing in products that complements the business's existing business and business strategy
  • Deliver the on the Group's financial targets and monitor BU performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made and action, if necessary, is taken
  • Help determine overall long-range objectives and recommend their adoption to the Board; prepare plans and programmes to achieve approved objectives and oversee their implementation
  • Work closely with the BU GM's in the implementation of all Group activities including marketing, operations and sales
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or any related Field
  • Proven commercial and P&L general management experience within the Consumer Goods (FMCG), Retail or Lifestyle related industries
  • Team Leadership and proven ability to groom and develop teams
