The Role:
As an Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for managing full sets of accounts, ensuring timely financial reporting, and supporting audits. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling accounts receivable (AR) processes, including data entry of AR receipts and reconciliation of daily bank receipts
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements and ensuring timely closing of accounts
- Performing bank reconciliations for all accounts and assisting auditors with invoice and receipt samples
- Managing accounts payable (AP) and general ledger (GL) processes, account reconciliations, and tax-related matters
- Overseeing GST returns, withholding tax, annual tax returns, and regulatory submissions (such as XBRL and company returns)
- Coordinating with internal teams such as property management and reservations for financial matters
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting in line with corporate guidelines
- Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and government authorities
- Ensuring compliance with all finance, tax, audit, and statutory filing requirements
- Supporting process improvements, system implementations, and internal controls to enhance efficiency
What Are We Looking For?
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in bank reconciliations, GST reporting, and tax submissions
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
