Job Description:
  • Events Marketing and Management
  • Shape SMU's International Advisory Council (IAC) meetings. Schedule and plan IAC meetings and related activities.
  • Develop and implement event marketing strategies to drive attendance and engagement. Create event marketing web content and digital marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including travel arrangements, venue selection, catering, premiums development, and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, agencies, and internal teams to create compelling event content and promotional materials.
  • Responsible for delivering events on time, managing end-to-end procurement process, tracking expenses and managing the event budget in a manner that meets if not exceeds expectations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and partners across the region.
  • Analyse event performance metrics and provide insights for future improvements.
  • Execute post-event evaluations to gather feedback and measure success
  • Keep abreast of all trends in the industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Degree with at least 8 years of working experience preferably in a marketing and communications role or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and events management. Proficiency in web publishing and digital marketing is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively, and be able to work with internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and branding.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all circumstances.
  • An effective team-player, mature and is able to work independently.
  • Meticulous with attention to important details.
  • Willingness to travel in the region.
  • Proficiency in web publishing and digital marketing is an advantage.
