Principal Geomatics Engineer / Geomatics Manager (VLM)
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a team responsible for nation-wide Vertical Land Motion (VLM) monitoring to support Whole-Of-Government Efforts in Climate Change Adaptation and Risk Mitigation (and other applications). Your primary role will be handling technical operations and managing various types of high-quality geospatial data. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, processing, analyzing, interpreting, visualizing, and disseminating (integrated) geospatial data,
- Managing relevant infrastructure from the design stage to the operational stage
- Conducting research to contribute to internal capacity building.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in Geodesy, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geospatial, GIS or any equivalent qualifications conferred by a recognised university.
- Experience and knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Strong understanding of geodetic principles, geospatial data management, coordinate systems, and map projections.
- Prior experience in Land Motion Monitoring is preferred. This may include experience with Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), relevant local instrumentation, land and sea monitoring, or a combination thereof.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and data visualisation tools will be an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- 2-4 years working experience in geomatics, geospatial or related job fields preferred. However, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
