Job Purpose

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all accounting functions relating to accounts receivable. This includes overseeing client invoicing, receipts and ensuring jobs are closed within set deadlines. This role involves communicating with project managers to reconcile accounts, preparing aging reports, and following up on collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Scope of Accounts Receivables – client invoicing and receipts (including upload of invoices to client portal)
  • Follow up with delivered jobs to ensure jobs are closed within the policy deadline
  • Communicate with project managers on job reconciliation and resolve any issues
  • Prepare AR aging statement to be sent to respective stakeholders
  • AR aging reviewing and following up for collection
  • Assist in annual statutory audits and ad hoc client job audits
  • Provide support to General Ledger function as and when required
  • Maintaining accurate records, supporting month-end closing processes for covering AP function.
  • Assist the team in any ad hoc finance related matters

About You

  • 3-5+ years experience in an AR / GL related accounting role
  • Ideally you hold a degree in accounting or finance, or you will have experience in lieu of a degree
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Dynamic and resourceful in your work approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under tight deadlines
