The role sits within the team of Robotics Engineering function, with main responsibility to design, develop, validate and maintain digital twin solutions for physical assets and or systems. You will start off with identifying use case as catalyst and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate real-time data, improve system performance, and provide insights for decision-making.What you'll do
- Entrepreneurial mindset, collaboratively identify and agree on digital twin use cases with highest business impact and or efficiency improvement.
- Be on the frontier with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to the digital twin.
- Create and develop detailed digital twin models for identified physical systems and or assets using modeling software, IoT, and AI technologies.
- Integrate real-time data from sensors, IoT devices, and other sources into digital twin models.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data being used to update the digital twin models.
- Work with engineers, product developers, and data scientists to align digital twin models with the right business goals.
- Implement algorithms for simulation, prediction and optimization under different conditions & scenarios, due to both internal plant changes and or external supply volatility.
- Analyze performance and provide recommendations for prescriptive improvements/optimizations.
- Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders, making complex concepts accessible to non-technical team members.
- Monitor the performance of digital twins and update models as physical systems change.
- Troubleshoot issues with digital twin solutions and improve model accuracy over time.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience with proven record in digital twin design or similar role within industries like manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or energy.
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for managing large-scale digital twin deployments.
- Strong understanding of digital twin concepts and applications.
- Having entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a commitment to driving the advancement of digital twins.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g. Process Simulate, MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar).
- Experience in IoT, sensors, and real-time data integration.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, C++, or Java for model development.
- Ability to troubleshoot, model complex systems, and propose solutions based on simulation results.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across all levels for effective teamwork and presentation of results to key stakeholders.
- Experience with data analytics, machine learning and AI is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in automotive industry is a plus.
