We catalyse the ideas of today, into the assets of tomorrow.What you will be working on:Responsibilities The International Engagement Department (IED) supports IPOS' vision by building relationships with IP stakeholders outside Singapore, including international organisations, foreign government agencies, institutions, and others, to position Singapore as a vibrant marketplace for IP transactions and commercialisation. Reporting to the Desk Head, you will be responsible for the following: • Identifying opportunities, developing and executing plans, in priority markets to advance Singapore's IP interests in commercial, technical and policy cooperation areas; • Building relations with overseas stakeholders, through developing and organising a pipeline of activities, including official visits, international events, and collaboration projects to promote Singapore's IP capabilities; • Developing and maintaining cooperation agreements and/or programmes with international partners; • Shaping and advocating Singapore's positions at regional and multilateral IP fora such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO); • Working across IPOS to align the interests and objectives of internal teams with IED's external engagement initiatives; • Monitoring IP developments in assigned countries and regions, conducting research, and drafting country briefs and strategy papers for senior management; • Executing good project management and timely and accurate reporting (e.g. department workplan and budget planning); and • Other ad-hoc duties assigned to you.What we are looking for:Please write to us if you have/are: • A keen interest in international affairs and innovation; • Excellent networking and stakeholder engagement skills; • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships; • Excellent writing, structured thinking, and effective communication skills; • Adept at prioritising tasks and thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; • Some knowledge of intellectual property, proficiency in a foreign language and/or proficiency in Chinese would be an added advantage given the job requirements; • Prior experience in international relations, the government sector or a related field is advantageous but not required.About Intellectual Property Office of Singapore:The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) is the national authority that registers and is responsible for the administration of IP rights in Singapore.
