Key responsibilities

  • Regional Performance Accountability: Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the region, ensuring alignment with Global Trade & Customs Consulting (GTCC) annual target goals and prioritizations. Collaborate with peers to collectively achieve GTCC's financial and operational objectives.

  • Sales and Marketing Leadership: Spearhead consulting sales and marketing efforts within the region, developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and market penetration.

  • Business Development: Engage with stakeholders across the organization, such as Area Heads of Customs, Sales leadership and Key Client Directors, to identify and pursue business opportunities

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a team of consultants across the region, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with Maersk’s sales organization to enhance internal sales capabilities and externally position Maersk as a leading service provider in the Asia Market.

  • Regional Coordination: Work closely with regional Customs Growth Managers to develop and implement business development initiatives tailored to regional market needs.

  • Talent and resources management: Oversee the development and growth of our talented consulting professionals, as well as ensure the allocation of their skillsets where our customers need it the most

  • Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate resources from the pool of consultants to meet project demands and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with Maersk’s policies, applicable laws, and regulations in all operational and service activities. Adhere to the Maersk Sustainability Program and manage the allocated annual budget responsibly.

  • CRM Utilization: Leverage Maersk’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs to drive business portfolio growth and enhance client relationships.

  • Performance Management: Conduct periodic performance reviews with Senior and Associate Consultants, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as an ambassador of Maersk values, promoting and encouraging top performance and high levels of engagement among team members.

We’re looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in global trade & customs compliance, experience from consulting organization or consulting positions within private sector companies is highly preferred.

  • Experienced leader with around 8 years proven ability to build high performance teams and develop talent.

  • Asia Pacific regional experience is advantageous

  • Excellent stakeholder management, with strong ability to engage and energize different teams / functions towards targets and goals

  • Highly adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced organization

  • Excellent communication skills in English is a must, fluency in other languages of the Asia region is a plus
