What the role is:The Lead Engineer/Engineer (Digital Programmes & Engagement) supports the Head (Digital Programmes & Engagement) in advancing HTX's digital transformation efforts. This role focuses on fostering a digital-first mindset within the organisation by raising awareness and knowledge of digitalisation strategies and plans, including the use of digital tools that enable all staff to implement digitalisation in their respective business domains. Additionally, the Lead Engineer/Engineer (Digital Programmes & Engagement) is responsible for building and engaging the digital community through effective communication and programmes, lead by example in digitalising its efforts, and be involved in co-creating digital solutions with users through the citizen developer principle.What you will be working on:· Develop and maintain information sites and publications to raise awareness of digital strategies, plans, policies, relevant digital upskilling training resources, guidelines, tips, FAQs, and more. · Foster and enable a vibrant digital community that adopts a digital-first mindset and embraces the citizen developer principle. · Promote digitalisation and align staff with the organisation's goals and objectives. · Conduct organisation-wide campaigns, events and competitions to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, continuous learning, and experimentation. · Enhance awareness and adoption of digital tools through gamification, rewards, and recognition programmes. · Assist project teams with the publicity and launch of their products and systems. · Apply design thinking to analyse business processes, identify digitalisation opportunities and create user-centric solutions. · Implement agile principles to collaboratively develop solutions with users through iterative processes, empowering them to become proficient citizen developers. · Implement digital solutions through low-code / no-code platforms, partnering and co-working with product teams to develop more complex backend as required.What we are looking for:· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Communication or equivalent · Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in information technology and/or community engagement · Experience in corporate communications, event planning and management, and programme development and execution will be advantageous · Familiar with use of digital tools like productivity software, automation bots, analytics dashboards, and Low Code / No Code development is preferred · Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders · Be adaptable and dynamic as things evolve · Be a dependable team player who is accommodating and can work with others, because the work scope is fluid and evolves rapidly All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
