
Sport Scentist
Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Football Science and Medicine, the Sports Scientist will work closely with the Head Coaches, Fitness Coaches, and Physiotherapists to optimise players' performance from the National Teams (NT) and/or other assigned teams. He/she would establish and implement the Sports Science Support in consultation with the Head of Football Science and Medicine.
Purpose.
The purpose of the post is to deliver a high-quality sports science support service to the Singapore Football National Teams.
Scope
Works collaboratively within the team to provide an integrated sports science and medicine program for NT players and coaches. This role includes participation in squad training sessions, matches, and camps.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide Sport Science (SS) support for the team on training and match days.
Provide SS support for the medical team to help with the rehabilitation process, in line with the requirements of the FSAM Medical Unit.
Work alongside fitness coach and medical staff with screening and performance testing of players throughout the National Team squad.
Managing the data collection of the Training Register, Wellness Score, RPE Score, GPS Monitoring, Fatigue Monitoring, Hydration status, etc.
To collect all relevant data, including Training Register, Wellness Score, RPE Score, GPS data, Fatigue Monitoring, Performance Testing, Screening, etc. and be responsible for maintaining this database.
To analyse and share the data and information amongst all relevant staff, providing feedback with the aim of helping the training and decision-making processes.
Monitor the progress of players' and teams' performance and physical status through the data and information collected and provide updates on player progress as required.
Ensure all National Team players receive appropriate information on their physical performance and progress.
Work closely with the fitness coach to observe and monitor players' physical performance and individual needs and to design training programs.
Work collaboratively with the fitness coach and medical team to implement recovery strategies for the NT players.
Contribute to and support the FSAM Research & Development process.
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Head of FSAM
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,200.00 per month
