Job Description

This position oversees all applications and claims for R&D and technical-related grants managed by the organization. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, accountability, and smooth administration of these grants while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support innovation and research initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the eligibility of R&D and technical grant applications, ensuring alignment with funding criteria and objectives.
  • Review and verify claims related to R&D project milestones, technical achievements, and expenditure eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications and claims, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation in the system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal teams, applicants, research institutions, and government agencies, to facilitate smooth grant administration and compliance.
  • Analyze and provide inputs for data reporting, grant utilization, and budget tracking.
  • Support grant audits, compliance with intellectual property (IP) regulations, and data protection (PDPA) requirements.
  • Assist in policy updates and process improvements for technical grant evaluation and claims verification.
  • Handle administrative duties and contribute to ad-hoc projects related to R&D grants as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study (e.g. Engineering, Sciences)
  • At least 1 year experience in R&D or commercial grant application and grant management in Singapore.
  • Relevant experience in grant management, R&D funding administration, audit, or claims processing.
  • Strong analytical ability, understanding of technical and R&D-related projects, and experience in evaluating innovation-focused proposals.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written & verbal).
  • A team player with a proactive approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with R&D ecosystems, innovation grants, and technical project financing is a plus.
  • Experience in handling grants overseas will be an added advantage
