We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee regulatory implementations and business-as-usual (BAU) projects within the Products and Execution division. This role involves end-to-end ownership of delivery, stakeholder management, and ensuring compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including EMIR Refit, HKMA, and MAS. The ideal candidate will have a strong techno-functional background, expertise in regulatory reporting, and experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Regulatory Delivery: Manage and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (EMIR, MIFIR, MAS, HKMA) and coordinate necessary reports.
- Project Planning & Execution: Define roadmaps, plan initiatives under governance, and oversee budget and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with business, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Team Coordination: Drive collaboration across squads and enablers, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Governance & Risk Management: Oversee risk escalation, regulatory clearance for releases, and ensure security and obsolescence management.
- Business Analysis: Gather business requirements, analyze workflows, and document specifications.
- Operational Excellence: Contribute to change management, incident resolution, and implementation of Target Operating Models (TOM).
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: At least 5+ years in project management within banking/finance, particularly in regulatory compliance projects.
- Domain Knowledge: Expertise in EMIR Refit (Asia/Europe), HKMA, and MAS. Knowledge of portfolio management, advisory, risk modeling, and order life cycle is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and IT transformation projects involving core banking systems. Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum practices. Certified Project Manager (PMP/Prince2) is required; Scrum Master/Product Owner certification is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
