Job Description
As part of the Transactional Analysis team in the Risk Management group, you will leverage your strengths in financial modelling and analysis to support investment teams in their committee approval processes. You will influence CDPQ’s investment decisions by identifying key concerns and assessing the risk-reward proposition of each deal. You will be exposed to wide variety of asset classes including public equities, private equity, infrastructure, and fixed income.

Job Description
As part of the Transactional Analysis team in the Risk Management group, you will leverage your strengths in financial modelling and analysis to support investment teams in their committee approval processes. You will influence CDPQ’s investment decisions by identifying key concerns and assessing the risk-reward proposition of each deal. You will be exposed to wide variety of asset classes including public equities, private equity, infrastructure, and fixed income.
Primary responsibilities:
- Participate in the assessment of investment opportunities in Asia Pacific for all asset classes in CDPQ, with a primary focus on infrastructure investments.
- Conduct fundamental analysis on companies or assets and identify their inherent risks to mitigate capital losses by examining the industry, strategy, competitive positioning, quality of the financial model, and potential for value creation.
- Conduct rigorous modelling and sensitivity analyses to highlight the main risks.
- Review corporate financial reports and establish industry comparables
- Proactively monitor the news and develop efficient research and monitoring tools
- Conduct research on economic outlooks and trends related to various risks.
- Monitor portfolio investments and participate in management reviews
- Prepare reports for various decision-making committees and collaborate on special projects.
- Singapore Citizen / PR
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
- Interest or prior experience in the finance and/or corporate investment field
- Excellent modelling and financial analysis skills
- Knowledge of software used in finance (Excel, Capital IQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Dynamic, collaborative, rigorous, with strong analytical abilities and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of French or Mandarin would be an asset
