The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment and management of patients referred for occupational therapy in various clinical settings.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%):
1) Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently and implement appropriate treatment plans.
2) Document patient occupational therapy records accurately.
3) Charge patients accurately.
4) Comply with clinical and service standards.
5) Update individual performance statistical records regularly.
6) Communicate with the referring doctor and other members of the medical team.
7) Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor / other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
8) Collaborate with other healthcare members and participate in case conferences.
9) Work collaboratively with therapist assistants in delivering patient care services.
10) Participate in departmental QC and other activities.
11) Assist senior in inventory checks and upkeep of equipment and work area.
12) Contribute to departmental inservice training programmes.
13) Actively update occupational therapy knowledge and skills
