About our group:The Global Logistics and Supply Chain Operations team is part of the Seagate Supply Chain organization and is responsible for the transportation, storage, distribution, and delivery of Seagate's products and systems around the world.About the role - you will:The incumbent will engage with partners and organizations inside and outside of Seagate to identify, prioritize, lead, and deliver initiatives that will optimize, enhance, and improve how products, components, and materials are transported, inventoried, and distributed throughout the Supply Chain with specific focus on the Vendor Inbound/Contract Manufacturing/Factory activities.
  • Oversee logistics operations for multiple internal and external sites responsible for the shipments of parts, raw materials, subassemblies, and Finished Goods that support Contract Manufacturing/Factory.
  • Proactively and continuously monitor Vendor Inbound/Contract Manufacturing/Factory logistics operations to identify gaps and create remediation plans as needed.
  • Track and monitor the status of shipments and collaborate with logistics providers, carriers and internal teams to resolve shipments issues.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Build and support cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners to drive effective communication channels supporting operations management.
  • Monitor and manage metrics related to Logistics, Traffic processes, performance and trends to ensure compliance with predefined SAP and Logistics processes and providers' Service Level Agreements.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to optimize shipments processes, continuous improvement initiatives and reduce costs.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent cooperation, networking, communication and influencing skills across the organization.
  • Showing competency in understanding multiple data analytics and visualization software and tools.
  • Teamwork is a core competency at Seagate, selected candidate must be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people globally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Your experience includes:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain traffic analysis or a related role.
  • Solid understanding and extensive experience using SAP ERP specifically with modules related to Logistics and Transportation, and Ship-to-Delivery such as SAP TMS, and SAP EWM.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and practices.
  • Ability to create strong relationships and partnerships inside and outside the organization.
  • Proven experience managing 3PL's and Transportation partners to ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - able to communicate clearly and effectively with members of working teams.
  • Experience with data analytics and BI tools such as Tableau and SAP Business objects.
  • Experience developing and creating metrics, KPI's, and dashboards.
  • Strong MS Office Skills including Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
