IntroductionWe are looking for a project intern to join the POD-AI in the second half of 2025.The AI Pod adopts a tech-centric investment approach to AI and aims to identify and capture opportunities in AI for Temasek and its broader portfolio ecosystem. It invests across 1) early-stage, AI-native companies, 2) AI-specialist VC funds, and 3) venture building, where it has set up 3 ventures - Minden.ai, Aicadium and Resaro AI.ResponsibilitiesStay abreast of technical developments and combine that with a keen understanding of business logic from domain experts to evaluate the commercial impact of fast-paced developments in the field of AICommunicate the implications of AI advancements to team members and other key stakeholders through memos, presentations, and newsletters.Explore and experiment with latest AI models/tools and coding prototypes to develop a deep understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and practical applications; effectively communicate insights and implications to the team to inform decision-making.Support evaluation and due diligence of investment opportunities in early-stage companies through technology and product assessmentsWork closely with the team to support the preparation of presentations, memos and analysisWork with your teammates in an agile, start-up environment to solve diverse business and technical challengesRequirementsPursuing a Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) with an interest in finance or investingPrevious internship experience in a software product company or software consulting firmHigh level of interpersonal and communication skillsAble to work well with diverse teams and deal with multiple stakeholdersSelf-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independentlyExperience working on Machine Learning/AI/Deep Learning projectsDemonstrates intellectual curiosity and strategic/business-oriented thinking, particularly around the commercial impact of technological developments in AIGood presentation abilities, with excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fieldsApplication DetailsPlease state the following clearly in your resume/CV:Availability (Start Date - End Date)We encourage you to apply early, as the application will be reviewed on a rolling basis.Stay connected by joining our network!
