Senior Manager, OPEX Controller

Job Description:The OPEX Controller will work closely with the internal technical team, external technical managers, and the finance/accounting team. The role provides leadership exposure and gives the controller external and internal exposure to various teams.Operational role
  • Review monthly and quarterly OPEX reports.
  • Perform financial analysis on OPEX and CAPEX of vessels.
  • Lead OPEX review meetings with the internal technical team and external technical managers.
  • Ensure accurate capture of OPEX and CAPEX costs in collaboration with the accounting team, including preparation of OPEX and CAPEX entries.
  • Ensure timely funding for external technical managers.
  • Regularly liaise with Technical Managers.
  • Conduct quarterly OPEX reviews with Head of Technical.
  • Monitor and review site team costs for newbuilding projects.
  • Liaise with joint venture partners' teams on OPEX/newbuilding related matters.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance workflow efficiencies.
  • Process owner for OPEX controlling related controls in accordance with SOX Compliance.
  • Support internal audits to ensure procedural compliance.
  • Assist in external audits such as SOX Compliance and statutory financial audits.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Leadership role
  • Lead the OPEX Controlling team.
  • Manage stakeholders and collaborate with respective Head of Departments within Hafnia, internal technical team, external technical managers, joint venture partners, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Maritime Studies.
  • 6-8 years of relevant working experience, e.g. OPEX controlling, vessel accounting and financial analysis.
  • Experience in maritime/shipping industry preferred.
